Cayan's introduction...EMV Genius Handheld.
Cayan has now officially released (and installed) our new mobile EMV payment terminal. The Cayan Handheld terminal runs the same Cayan Genius (semi-integrated) payment application that drives the VeriFone MX915 & MX925 countertop terminals. Developers integrate once (simple API can be found here (https://cayan.com/developers) to our Genius application and they receive instant EMV integration to these three payment terminals.
Genius Functionality includes:
- Point-to-Point Encryption – Card numbers are encrypted as the card is swiped and are kept secure as it travels to Cayan. This makes the information useless if it was ever accessed.
- Reduced PCI Scope – Device handles all the sensitive card information and keeps it away from the POS system. This lowers the number of areas included in your PCI assessment.
- Tokenization – Returns a unique identification number to reference a transaction or card number. Allows for transactions to be researched and adjusted without exposing sensitive card numbers.
- Three EMV hardware offerings including the VeriFone MX915, MX925 and the Cayan Handheld Mobile terminal.
- NFC and Mobile Payments Support – The flexibility of Genius allows for using those or virtual solutions to accept mobile payments. Apple Pay, Samsung PAY, Android Pay, LevelUP are all currently available.
- Cayan Payment and Gift card Gateway Services for the ultimate flexibility. Keep existing bank or processing relationships or leverage Cayan’s world-class acquiring services.
- Digital Signature Capture – Stores a digital copy of the customer’s signature on Cayan’s servers. Easily retrieve from any computer or through the POS for researching a transaction.
- Easy Deployment of Updates and Enhancements – The device connects directly to our servers, which makes it easy to update. As new features and updates are released, they can be pushed out to all devices at times that won’t impact retail, restaurant or healthcare locations.
- Scrolling customer receipt with running subtotal – Show the consumer the last 5-10 items scanned at the POS with running sub-total. No need for an additional pole display
