Causeway Pedestrian and Cyclist Bridges Project Update
The boomerang-shaped pylon has been installed on the Causeway Pedestrian and Cyclist Bridges, marking the final milestone in the structural construction phase.
This pylon's design is inspired by the koylie, a curved hunting tool used by Whadjuk warriors, symbolising their spirit and heritage.
Next Steps to Bridge Completion
Although the bridges appear nearly finished, there are still several tasks to complete before they can safely open to the public by the end of the year:

Other Causeway Construction Updates
McCallum Park: Landscaping is progressing well with the construction of footpaths, lighting, seating, and tree planting.
Heirisson Island (Matagarup): Landscaping continues with the construction of footpaths, kerbing, and asphalt.
Point Fraser: Once the bridge module installation is complete, stay cables will be installed to connect the bridge deck to the boomerang pylon. Afterward, the crane and crane pad will be removed, and landscaping will begin.
