"What would you do if you weren't afraid?"

That was the sign that hung on the wall of my office for three years at my last job. I always secretly knew the answer -- I would launch a consulting company focused on nonprofit leadership.

Back in February, I took the leap. There was no Launch Party or public announcement as I was doing foundational things like creating a logo, printing business cards, opening a bank account, finding a space to work. Before long, new clients were showing up, the work kicked in, and I never came up for air.

But today, I'm looking back on the last 8 months and smiling at some pretty great things that have happened:

* We built a team of three amazing consultants including Dr. Laura Zumdahl & my mentor of 10 years Dr. Charles Middleton

* We secured a great group of clients including a top tech company, strategy management firm, financial institutions, a large foundation and a bunch of impactful nonprofits

* We designed, built and ran a program that placed more than 30 earlier-career professionals on NYC nonprofit boards

* We expanded our service areas and produced thought leadership

* We even built a website: www.causestrategypartners.com 

So, today I'm smiling, celebrating and thankful for the opportunity to work with great people, pursuing my passions & doing what I can to strengthen social good organizations that are changing the world.

I hope we're just getting started.
