Cause Others to Shine!

You are powerful beyond measure!

It's science, not some kumbaya, feel-good, hipster spiritually. You are a form of energy and that comes with some pretty nice perks. Not the least of which, you cannot be created or destroyed. Along with that, it is a ball of energy that lights up this solar system and you are a piece of that. 

Why do I shrink from this potential?

Perhaps its to fit in, to become accepted. Or maybe I have yet to accept this truth and just know the words that in the depths of my mind I leave empty. Or it might be that I've realized the responsibility that comes with such a powerful thing would no longer allow me to hide behind excuses for my failures. Whatever the reason, there's no reason to hold back, those most successful and inspirational have transcended this issue, therefore so can I.

It's not reserved for the lucky ones, it's in all of us.

We are all energy and therefore endowed with this gift. Don't worry if you haven't found your way yet, there is nothing but time. Follow you passions, find what you really love to do, enjoy your journey. I spend too much time hoping to be unique, or unlock the puzzle, the funny thing is you already have it!

Liberate others, use your light to inspire others to shine.

The trick is, you cannot do this if you do not first free yourself. Others are not attracted to darkness, it is the light that attracts them to you. Free yourself, then reach back and pull someone else up, there will be nothing more rewarding.

The effect you have on others is the most valuable currency there is.

Below is paraphrased from a poem written in 1992. You may have seen it in a movie or heard that Nelson Mandela said it in his inauguration (he did not). In any case, good words to live by :

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It's not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
