Elizabeth Placencia’s story is just one shining example of G2’s commitment to integrity.
Elizabeth started her career with G2 in March of 2022.?She’s a compassionate and caring individual who leads a team of dedicated Cabin Cleaning agents in our Delta Air Lines Cleaning Account at LaGuardia Airport in NY. Elizabeth is a fantastic team player who takes pride in her work. This is her story:
Delta Air Lines flight 4924 arrived at LaGuardia Airport from Rochester International Airport like it had done so many times before. However, this day was not like every other day and would soon provide an opportunity for Elizabeth to showcase her professionalism, honesty and compassion.?
After all the passengers had deplaned, Elizabeth and her cabin crew entered the aircraft and began to clean the aircraft cabin for the next flight. As Elizabeth approached the last row of seats, she noticed a personal carry-on bag that was accidentally left behind by a passenger. Following standard policy, she immediately notified her manager and requested assistance to verify the contents of the bag with the goal of reuniting the passenger with their bag. To everyone’s surprise, the bag contained an envelope with $5,000 in cash and a wallet with an additional $120 in cash. Understanding that time was of the essence to reunite the owner with their lost property, Elizabeth quickly walked back up the jet bridge to notify the Delta Gate Agent. Elizabeth found the Gate Agent consoling a distraught and panicked passenger who had just realized they left their carry-on bag on the aircraft and wanted to retrieve it.
Elizabeth advised the Gate Agent of the found bag, who was then able to verify it was indeed the passenger’s missing bag. Because of Elizabeth’s actions and commitment to integrity, the passenger was quickly reunited with their bag and valuables allowing them to enjoy their trip as planned. What a wonderful ending for the passenger!?
