About CATIA –

France's Dassault Systemes is the developer of the well-known commercial programme CATIA. CATIA, which stands for Computer Aided Three-dimensional Interactive Application, is a component of the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) suite offered by Dassault.

A multi-platform CAD/CAM/CAE programme is called CATIA. It can be applied to various phases of the product development process, including engineering, manufacturing, design, and conceptualization. For reverse engineering, intricate shape design, styling, and class A surface modelling, CATIA offers superior surfacing capabilities. Large assemblies can be designed with it using the Top-Down or Bottom-Up design methodologies.

CATIA's Application Programming Interface (API) allows for customisation. The languages C++ or Visual Basic are used for customisation.

CATIA is easy to use. In India, there is CATIA CAD training available. Engineers who want to work in design are pursuing it. The greatest choice is any reputable CAD training facility approved by Dassault or a reputable university. Make sure you understand the software commands and how they are used in the design of plastic and sheet metal automotive parts by the end of the CATIA courses.
