Cathy Signed Up To Save Lives ??

I've been given the opportunity of a lifetime to help others battling cancer and would love your support! ?? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, no matter how small.

My name is Cathy Trinh. I am a published author, public speaker, addiction recovery advocate and executive recruiter, but most don't know I'm a cancer survivor. I'm 43 years old and am a single mother in Orange County, CA. I've lost 3 family members and friends due to cancer.

In March 2018, at age 40, I received a diagnosis of Stage 2 Thyroid Cancer that changed my life forever. I had two rounds of surgeries, a full thyroidectomy including the removal of 24 lymph nodes followed by radiation therapy. It spent many sleepless nights for months worried about my health and future. After 2 long years, my scans came back negative and have been in remission for over a year.

In the spirit of overcoming adversity, I have embarked on a new level of self-awareness that allows me to want to share my experience to support other cancer patients. It is very important to me because I understand the challenges and want to help make the journey of others a little less frightening. I am happy to report I have been in remission for one year. By participating in this campaign for LLS, my hope is to raise as much money as possible to support research and patient services for individuals and families faced with those difficult words “You Have Cancer.”

I have joined a team that is driven to find cures for blood cancer. Our team is working to raise as much as possible over the next 10 weeks. Every dollar we raise counts as one vote for my team's candidate. The candidate whose team tallies the most votes earns the prestigious title of "Man or Woman of the Year". The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Man & Woman of the Year is a 10-week philanthropic challenge that will begin March 31st, 2021, and end June 13th, 2021.

As you know, though, everyone wins when cancer loses. Thanks to your support, my efforts will help fund therapies and treatments that are saving lives. Over the years, support from people like you has been responsible for the blood cancer advancements that have doubled, tripled, and in some cases quadrupled the survival rate for some blood cancers.

Many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients, but are also now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers and are in clinical trials for patients with lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. And LLS funded drugs like targeted therapies and immunotherapies are now saving thousands of lives every day.
