Caterers, Are you tired of all your events seeming to look the same?

Caterers, I am speaking to you. Have you ever heard the saying, “Rinse and repeat. Rinse and repeat”?? Most caterers have their go-to tableware and glassware that they use for each event. Are you using the same pieces over and over? If you are happy with what you’ve been using, keep scrolling.
If you have read this far, thanks for staying. I believe what I have to share will benefit us both.? A little background about my company, I founded this table top specialty company back in 2016 located in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. My collections of new and vintage dishware have the ability to be mixed with each other. When clients book an appointment, we play with linen samples, China, glassware and flatware to create their own memorable tables.
Here’s how it works. Everyone is drawn to something at our Design Center. We will build a tablescape off of that while they are with us. I listen and offer up suggestions and ideas as we go. Sometimes a client thinks they want all clear glassware, so we set a table with clear glasses. They may spot the blush glassware and think that those might be cool. We switch out the clear glassware to blush. If the client has no reaction when the blush is on the table, I remove that and offer up other glassware color options that may go with their color palette and vision. When one of the glass colors on the table seems to “Click”, I will see a reaction from them. At that point, I will remove that color from the table and place the clear glassware back on the table. I always ask, “Now that we have played with color, how do you feel about the clear?” By doing this process, the client is able to clarify their style. During this time, I can also tell if they prefer glasses that match or if they prefer mismatched styles. It’s a process that can get a little messy, but in the end the client always walks away with a tablescape personal to them. They can clearly see what their tables will look like because we have set it up in the Design Center.
By now you are probably wondering, “How does this apply to me, the caterer? Plus, I don’t have all of that inventory to play with nor the time.” Well, that’s where I come in. The best way for us to benefit from each other is for you to schedule a one-on-one consultation with me. We all have different levels of expertise and experience, so why not work together. Start small.? Baby steps. Try adding a mismatched plate to your event as a first step. Then listen to? all of the talk and excitement from the guests about those unique plates. All of their guests will now want to book with you because the food was great along with the entire tablescape experience. I cannot tell you how many times this happens. And word does spread.?
Clients not only expect the food to be good, but they also want an experience for their guests.?
Let us know the client's vision, and we will send a couple of tablescape ideas to you with photographs.
We will provide sales materials to help you show your clients what they can have.
Let your client know we will meet one-on-one for a free consultation at the Design Center. I will send the quote over to you the caterer for them to add to your contract.
