Catching up with... Stephanie Vienonen
An Americano with almond milk is my go-to, but if I’m feeling lavish, I’ll add a couple of sugar-free vanilla syrup pumps.
I’m actually coming up on my 4-year anniversary. I started on February 5th, 2018.
It’s definitely our company culture. I find that the people here are just as great coworkers as they are friends, and the company treats its employees with flexibility and compassion. With frequent team events, we also have a healthy balance of work and play in the office. Really, what more could you ask for!
It has grown immensely! I started in order processing and shipping, but I became Colordyne’s Administrative Support Specialist soon after. Then, I worked my way up to Project Specialist, where I helped ensure smooth success for our larger-scale orders. I currently hold the title of Operations Supervisor, which comes with great responsibility that I am thrilled to bear. It’s interesting to note that all these positions except the first one did not exist before I held the role. It just goes to show how Colordyne grows with its employees.
Everything I do at Colordyne is with the end goal of customer satisfaction in mind. Through my roles here, I’ve worked directly with all of our customers. They know me as a go-to person for their questions or requests (I happily accept messages of gratitude, too!). Being able to react to their needs in an efficient manner helps to build the relationship between us and them, which only helps to make all of our jobs a little easier – A result that I’m glad to help produce.
I love that I can set my own path here at Colordyne. As you just learned, I’ve experienced a lot of growth within the company, and that includes personal growth as well. It’s a great feeling to know that I’m entrusted with such responsibility and that my actions make a notable difference. I’ve also always had a soft spot for customer service, so when I get the opportunity to approach a customer’s issue and resolve it to a point where all parties are happy, I couldn’t be more pleased.
I think I’d let my younger self continue doing exactly what she was doing! It is what led me here, after all. I knew that reciprocity was important – Basically, ensuring that both the company and I are mutually benefitting from me being there. With that mindset, I found myself at Colordyne where reciprocity is present, and I couldn’t ask for things to have worked out differently.
My spontaneity makes it so I don’t really have a planned-out bucket list (I’ve been known to embark on a trip with less than a day’s worth of consideration). That being said, I’m a bit of a foodie so my travels typically revolve around where to get the best bite. I’d love to visit Portland, OR, for the first time – I hear that’s a vegan food mecca, so it’s calling my name.
