Catch Up with RET (November 2024)

Welcome to Catch Up with RET. Each month, we highlight our work around the world and how we're making a difference on the lives of women, girls, and youth. Want to help us make a difference? ?? Make a donation today.

What can your donation do? Among other things, $50 can...

  • Help a single mother in DRC send her children to school – for the entire year.
  • Support a household in Niger for the entire month.
  • Double the income of a family in Peru, providing them with more nutritious food and/or better educational opportunities for their children.

For our U.S. supporters, we’re a 501(c)(3), and donations may be tax deductible.

Featured Photo

This month's featured photo comes from our team in Panama, where we've been active since 2009. In RET's many years in the country, we've established a regional office that helps coordinate our Latin America and Caribbean operations, as well as successfully implemented dozens of projects in-country.

The story behind the photo is available in Spanish (original) and English:

Impact Story

In the Ségou region in Mali, RET Germany has been working to improve livelihoods and food security through training in climate-adaptive agriculture and handicrafts, as well as promoting peaceful relations and economic interdependence among communities. Along with our local partner REFOR, we spent several days speaking with program participants at one of the vocational training centers in Ségou to hear how it's had a tangible impact on the local community.

  • The 2024 Refugee and Migrant Needs Analysis (RMNA) provides a detailed, evidence-based assessment of the needs of refugees and migrants across 17 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, drawing insights from over 14,000 household surveys and secondary sources to inform regional response strategies. • We’re excited to share a meaningful visit that left a lasting impression on all of us at RET in Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). In October, we had the pleasure of welcoming Ms. Jenny Schultz from the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
