Catch them Doing Right !

The trend in healthcare systems has been mostly driven into implementing a  negative reinforcement  approach to correct performance issues.  Out of my experience and over the years,  I had  learned  that Positive reinforcement had always yielded  much better results.

Use " Catch them Doing Right and Reward them " Instead of

"Catch them Doing Wrong and Punish them."

You will be amazed by the amount of productivity that will prevail among your  staff.  When they feel happy and appreciated they  will  surprise you  by their willingness to go the extra mile.  A  simple pat on the back , a small appreciation note, a brief  recognition letter,  and /or even a nice smile can make a big difference. Spread positive vibes and make it contagious.
