Cat litter and Goal achievement.?
[humor is one of my highest values- and I figured it would be great to start this return to work week (for many) with a laugh]
We have several cats. We love them all and they are our family. With great love comes great responsibility. Or something like that.?
This morning while taking care of the litter boxes (several cats=several+1 litter boxes) I found myself contemplating my actions and how they can intertwine with accomplishing goals.?
The first step to attaining any goal is to know what you want to accomplish. Check.?
Then for this task and for achieving your goals you must do one thing first: Remove all the “crap” that is getting in the way of achieving your overall goal. Check.?
Joking aside, this is the biggest step that gets overlooked when trying to figure out why you are not getting the results you want out of life. There is all that stuff that gets in the way and we have become so accustomed to it and have accepted it that we may not even know it is there.?
Removing those limiting decisions and negative emotions from your past that are tied to achieving what you want in life is the most impactful step.?
Now that you know what you want to accomplish and have gotten all the “crap” out of the way it's time to get to work on the steps that will take you to your path that will lead you to what you want to achieve. Your “goal”.?
For me it was time to fill up the litter boxes with new litter.??
This process led me to the thoughts that brought me here to write this post for you today.?
Our litter boxes are in a bathroom right inside from our garage. Kind of mud room for those in places where that is needed.?
We keep the litter bags out in the garage and I have to go out there to get the litter. Here is a bit of detail but it is needed to make my point.?

We get large 40 pound bags of litter and as I said I keep them in the garage. We bought a scooper to be able to scoop the litter and not bring the whole big (up to 40lbs) bag inside to fill the boxes. The scoop is not that big but holds enough litter to fill back one box.?
I end up taking several trips into the garage when I need to fill up one box or top off several at a time.?
This morning I thought, “why don't you just carry the big bag in and save yourself all these trips?”
So many times we find ourselves not doing the hard thing because we feel it will save us energy (time, money etc) by doing many smaller steps. There are times when that may be true since at times we may find the bigger task a bit overwhelming and then we dont start.?
That is not the case here and it usually isn't for most of us in life as well. We find “reasons” within our “excuses”.?
So I went into the garage and picked up the heavy bag and brought it inside and filled all the boxes as needed and then put the bag in the garage. Task/Goal complete.?
I saved probably 5 minutes and as many trips to the garage and was able to get on with my morning. Goal accomplished.?
If you would like to hear more about the process of achieving what you want to in life and hear how I can support you on that journey, then please DM me and we can set up a time and talk about it.?
And as they say, “Life is too important to be taken seriously”.?I hope you enjoyed this laugh (with purpose).
Wishing you all a very happy, productive and abundant new year.?
P.S- The picture is one of our cats, Lilu.?
