In Case You Missed It, Here is How I Relieve Low Back Pain...

I just put a video on how I treat back pain in my clinic, this is a typical treatment as I walk you through my thought process, this pt. goes from 15-20% lumbar extension to 100% in a few minutes, watch here...

Curious if the position she is in, prone and gravity eliminated, has more of an effect than rubbing her leg. Try it in standing and see if the same “effects” are achieved. Agree with the need for biologically plausible prior to teaching.

I wish the "Doctoral" programs in PT would teach basic neuroscience and pain science to their students. Then they might understand what effects sensory stimulation can have on both motor output and pain. The educated practitioner might then not claim to have invented a new treatment or discovered new pain relief points.? There should be some rule about teaching a "system of care" to others. First it should be biologically plausible (this isn't) , then it should be studied and compared to conventional PT treatments.? Only if it passes should someone be allowed to teach it to others and collect fees for such.?
