The case study of Zoom
It is still totally synonymous with an online video call. "Zoom call" is still what we call it.
But almost nobody uses Zoom any more -- largely because it's awful. The company was suddenly in the spotlight of the world a few years ago, and they weren't up to the task. I don't know if they panicked or they were never very good developers or what happened, but man did they squander that opportunity.
When I googled "Zoom case study" I mostly found SEO garbage papers that seem like they were written by ZM or by shills for them. I can't find out how this company went from a $60 share price to a $500 share price and every single person on earth wanting to use their software, back to a $60 share price and every single person on earth wanting to never use their software again.
Does anybody know? Can you share in the comments? Opinions are always welcome, but insider info is way juicier.
MSFT dropped Teams on us all

7 个月Agree with Nicholas... Google Meet and Microsoft Teams simply caught up (they were terrible during the peak of zoom), continued to innovate and integrate, and way surpassed in overall features and usability. You probably remember that we used the "innovate and integrate" strategy at Intel all the time to catch up with or disrupt markets. It just works... and it's hard to compete with. It's how RoseMary Schooler transformed storage and network platforms!
