Case Study: Sydney Domestic Airport, NSW

Sydney Airport is the busiest commercial airport in Australia handling over 43 million passengers and 350,000 aircraft movements yearly. The airport has three terminals. Terminal 1 is the international terminal and Terminal 2 and 3 are for domestic flights.

Project Design Brief

Designers wanted to incorporate a modern look using large tiles on the floor and walls in the toilets. The floors were designed with subtle two way falls to accommodate the large tiles and a linear drain. All elements of the floor required to be slip resistant.
