CASE STUDY: Recently completed project to provide screening, storm separation and monitoring to a rural site

The site required a Compliance & UMON monitoring upgrade.

The site had no screening of wastewater. The site had limited space with the existing Inlet works located at the top of site with no possibility of vehicular access.? We relocated the inlet works to the bottom site adjacent to access road.

3)????? Installation of Huber R09 screen on raised steel platform.

7)????? Return pump station to head of site.

8)????? New PST distribution chamber located at head of works.

9)????? Engage & manage civils/utilities contractor.

10) Engage & manage electrical contractor. Full LV package including actuated valves, pumps, screen, flow monitors & site lighting.

11) Full telemetry & site integration.

12) Design, manufacture, installation & testing of lifting equipment for all assets.

13) Traffic management plan.

14) Liaise & manage electrical & mechanical connections into existing site assets.

15) Maintain operational functionality of site throughout project.

16) Full training, commissioning & handover.

The system was designed with additional capacity and resilience to accommodate future growth within the catchment area.

Full civils package including below ground mechanical connections. New rising main the length of site. Forming below ground pump station. Running of power & signal ducts.

Engaged and managed the following sub-contractors. Civils, electrical, site integration/telemetry, tankering & commissioning. All sub-contractors are on our approved suppliers list.

The project was completed on time and in budget. Site operations were not interrupted other than at planned times.

The specific challenges of this project were mostly due to the limited space on site. Careful control of traffic. Regular waste collections. Careful planning of deliveries and contractors in line with our project programme ensured the project was delivered in a safe manner.

Throughout the project we provided full site management & welfare. A designated site compound. Site compound has been removed and grass seed laid.

We received positive feedback from the customer on completion of the project

We carried out full M&E & Operations training with all plant on site.?
