Case study: Pneumatic Conveying with Schenck Process
Schenck Process, a global provider of sustainable, integrated measuring and process technology solutions, were first introduced to Lontra’s LP2 Blade Blower in 2020, following a close historical relationship between the two companies. Initial product discussions with Lontra’s management and engineering team involved sharing and analysing the units impressive performance data, in particular the measurements around power and flow.
Schenck Process expressed an interest in testing the unit and benchmarking against their existing blower machine installed at their Doncaster site in the UK.
In April 2022 an LP2 Blade Blower unit was commissioned at Schenck Process facility, and benchmark performance testing against the existing comparable unit onsite began. Over the coming months the performance was regularly monitored by Lontra’s engineering team who were able to remotely extend the speed range and ramp rate to accommodate the testing requirements. The results demonstrated that the power consumption on the LP2 Blade Blower was significantly lower than the existing onsite installation from a leading competitor.
Following this successful and notable test period, Schenck Process integrated the LP2 unit within their system and continues to be an essential part of their lean phase conveying test rig and sustainable conveying solutions. Lontras engineering team continue to remotely monitor the system in real-time and provide support to Schenck Process when required.

1 年Great to see how much difference Lontra compressors make in real World applications. Wonderful design. Now just need to manufacture and sell a few hundred thousand and we will start seeing measurable atmospheric CO2 changes and energy consumption ??
