Case Study: Oakdene

Case Study: Oakdene

Oakdene was one of my favourite early houses that I bought for myself. I loved it as soon as I viewed it. It is really close to a lovely park where people play cricket in the evening and is a cute bay terrace window kind of house ??

Although one thing that appeared odd is that it had tonnes of plug sockets all over the place ?? We think it might have been a marijuana growing house at some point…

Over the years it has been a single let and a mini mo (HMO) and is now back to being a lovely single let.

I purchased it for £122,500 with a refurbishment cost of £23k I also redid the roof a few years later for a further £4k but it’s now worth £260k – it really does show that property is worth holding onto in the long run.
