Case Study : New Quay Promenade Stage 2, Melbourne, VIC

The New Quay project at Docklands has transformed Melbourne’s life on the waterfront for people aspiring to living close to the CBD. The precinct has been carefully planned to integrate residential, retail and commercial development. Recently, Stage 2 of the project was undertaken to extend the promenade area to give way to further development.

Project Design Brief

The promenade extension would include the augmentation of several underground cables for services such as communications, power and CCTV. Secure cable pits would be required for authorised surface level access and designers wanted to preserve the visual continuity of the blue stone paving above them.
