Hello and welcome to another edition of One Blast Away. This is our second video newsletter and I'm excited. As usual, if video is anything for you, feel free to scroll down and read through the transcript.

Today, I want to let you in on one of my favorite client stories. I was sharing this with a friend last week and he mentioned I don't share this enough on social, so here it goes. As you know, I'm a big advocate for Web3 and blockchain technologies in general.

What you may not know is that I'm also an advocate for climate and health and wellness. These are some of my passions. Up until the moment this client reached out, I had only worked with very native Web3 projects such as Gaming and DeFi.

To my surprise, they were a climate impact fund with a big focus on ocean conservation. Their goal was to launch 7,000 NFT collections and create an engaged community. 50% of all their proceeds went to ocean conservation.

Since then, the project has evolved and it's now one of the biggest Solana ReFi projects, but let's focus on what happened at the time. They had an almost ready-to-go collection and a very clear mission, but little marketing budget, no marketing experience, and no community. Here's what we did.

Spoiler alert, it worked. We had two options. Option one, go down the Web3 DGN route with giveaways and plans for marketing and such, or option two, do something completely different.

I chose option two. I decided the key was to grow a community of people that truly cared about the ocean, their mission, no matter whether they were in Web3 or not. This obviously brought some complications and there was an educational piece to do, but it really showed me that when someone truly cares about something, not knowing the tech isn't a barrier of entry.

If the company is transparent, helpful, and stays true to their mission, there is no adoption barrier. We built through collaborations and partnerships with like-minded companies, as well as podcasts and PR features. The team consistently engaged the community on Discord and within five months, we had 35,000 Discord members and over 13,000 Twitter followers.

The collection sold out in 43 minutes. Here is proof that you don't need a massive budget or a Web3-specific project to make it.
