Case study : HRS & their core value commitment to CSR

“We have been working with Jeans for Genes for 10 years now and every year I feel proud to be working with an amazing charity who I feel a real affinity with. As a smaller company working with a charity the size of J4G gives us a personal relationship where we see the difference every pound we raise makes. As a recruiter in the life science industry our company mission is to support companies who can change and save lives which aligns perfectly with what J4G do and is just another way we can support such an amazing industry. From a purely personal perspective, having become a father twice in the time I have worked with J4G there is an added meaning to the work that they do to support families across the UK”

About a decade ago, as a commitment to their core values and corporate social responsibility, Hyper Recruitment Solutions (HRS) teamed up with Jeans for Genes, a leading charity dedicated to supporting children & families living with genetic conditions and raising awareness about the challenges faced. This strategic collaboration not only exemplifies HRS's commitment to making a positive impact on society but is a great example and case study of the transformative power of purpose-driven charity partnerships.

Hyper Recruitment Solutions, founded and run by Ricky Martin in partnership with Lord Alan Sugar, is a renowned recruitment agency specialising in the science and technology sectors. With a core ethos centred around innovation and bettering lives, HRS sought to align with a cause that resonated with their values and had the potential to make a profound difference. Jeans for Genes was a natural fit.

Over this relationship, HRS aimed to contribute significantly to the Jeans for Genes campaign, thereby supporting children and families affected by genetic conditions. They organised creative fundraising events, including office denim days, and quiz nights, to engage both employees and external stakeholders.

Through these various initiatives, over the years HRS have raised £15,000 for Jeans for Genes, directly benefiting support services, projects, counselling therapy, telephone helplines, website information providers and specialist equipment and nursing staff - creating a world of difference for families living with genetic conditions.

Not only does this partnership benefit the genetic condition community but it fosters a sense of purpose and well-being among HRS employees with their commitment and involvement in meaningful philanthropic activites.

“Jeans for Genes really is an incredible charity. Having supported them for many years at school and a further 6 years (and counting) at HRS, I have seen the positive impact they make on children with genetic disorders and their families alike. Planning our annual fundraiser is one of my favourite events in our company calendar. Not only does it bring our workforce together for a brilliant evening, but I also know that we are making a difference to so many children’s lives. Having supported J4G for so many years, I feel so proud to see Ricky as the charity ambassador this year.’’??

?Laura Fellowes – Senior Employee Engagement Officer

“I have been part of fundraising for J4G for a few years now and it has been a great way of raising money for a strong cause whilst having fun as well. My favorite J4G moment must be last year’s Quiz Night, where we raised £2,600! I am looking forward to showing off my standard quality denim jeans in J4G week, all for a great cause!”

?Fabio Roque – Senior Recruitment Consultant??

The success of the HRS and Jeans for Genes partnership continues to thrive, with HRS and Ricky himself fronting an appeal to other workplaces and organisations to come forward to take part. ?HRS are a brilliant example for effective corporate social responsibility and the hope is that together, we inspire other companies to forge similar impactful collaborations.
