I am writing after coming back from BestBuy where I have founded my EU/US adaptor after a long story that includes an order at Amazon.com.
I have landed on 28th November in Miami, for a big conference, after exhausting the battery of my laptop (Chromebook stay longer than average laptop), the first thing was to find an adaptor for my laptop, so, I have decided to ask to Google and I have obtained only a list of electronic stores and computer shops, then, after walking for a couple of hours by visiting Target and Staples, I have decided to order the product from Amazon.com.
The only available option to get the product was the Amazon Locker, besides of that, additional 2 days for the delivery, so this is can be a good deal if you are not a tourist.
I have spent $12 with no shipping cost but then I have realized that I was simply unable to stay without my laptop for more days, so I have cancelled the order and spend more time to find a solution, since I know a lot of brands, my mind shift to Walmart and BestBuy.
I consider Walmart a valid alternative but later I have discovered that most of their products comes from 3rd party vendors, so basically the adaptor was not in-store (Why Walmart is copying Amazon with online?); luckily, BestBuy had the product so I have taken a Uber to South Miami location and I was super happy to be assisted by the staff.
The in-store experience worked like a charm, I felt happy, satisfied and assisted, and I have spent $17 without thinking too much about the price.
The lesson is: Not everything can be Amazoned.
The question is: Why my iPhone of over $1000 and my 4G LTE connection were useless?
This is happening because we are living in a moment where everyone aims to sell online and less companies aims to reach the right user with the right information.
