OUTCOME: Once the product was found to be compliant with the required standards, after a successful round of tests at LabTest Certification laboratory facilities, the authorization to mark with the cLCus Mark was granted to the manufacturer. The lithium battery pack manufacturer reassured its confidence in their battery packs' quality and safety. This allowed them to launch their battery packs in various markets, establishing themselves as a reputable player in the Lithium Battery Pack sector.

CHALLENGE: The client was developing advanced lithium-ion battery systems for renewable energy storage. They required validation that their battery packs met industry standards and could withstand the rigors of daily cycling, involving a cooling system to mitigate runaway contingencies.

SOLUTION: Our laboratory exposed the client's battery systems to extreme heat conditions. We also conducted the thermal puncture test and short-circuit test to verify that the batteries could endure these tests without initiating runaway and properly ventilated the resulting fumes.
