Case 1: What does the office need to ensure it responds to the needs of its users?
The office is not just a space to furnish. It's not just empty walls to paint and a floor to fill with furniture solutions. The office is an important factor that motivates and supports people and, in some cases, acts as a catalyst for innovative ideas. Therefore, it plays a significant role in the success of the company and its employees.?
A well arranged office makes the performance of daily work duties easier, supports the flow of business processes, improves the well-being of employees and can reflect the culture, policies and values of an organisation.?
Exploring the needs, expectations and working styles of employees allows us to come up with the most efficient (and impressive) office space, as one of our clients in the modern logistics services industry has found out:?
Problem: What does our office need to ensure it responds to the needs of its users?
Actions: Our collaboration was based on workplace environment research called Workplace Strategy, which was carried out in two locations: Kraków and Warsaw. Thanks to our proprietary research methods, both qualitative and quantitative, our team of workspace consultants managed to find out about the current needs and expectations of employees, their work styles and the challenges they encountered within the office space.?
Solutions: The workspace research provided us with information on the general level of satisfaction with the existing office and the elements of its design at the time that needed improvement. The qualitative part also provided information on employees’ readiness and attitudes to different work models. The results we obtained were discussed with the project group in charge of the whole process and solutions were suggested to help create the most efficient and functional office space. After the rearrangement, the office space was subjected to evaluation.?

Results: The results obtained in the course of the Workplace Strategy work environment study have translated into a change in the arrangement and functionality of the office space. Our work led to a 24% increase in general satisfaction with the office space. We also managed to eliminate the main drawbacks of the previous office space, including insufficient number of meeting rooms, insufficient space per employee and acoustic issues.
86% of employees rated those factors as "good" or "very good" in the rearranged and adjusted space. Employees surveyed in the evaluation phase also highly rated the quality of office components, which they had considered important in the initial survey - which proves that the new office space met their expectations and needs.?
