Exporting Used Self-Propelled Vehicles

In accordance with the Foreign Trade Regulations (FTR), the U.S. Census Bureau (Census) mandates filing of Electronic Export Information (EEI) through the Automated Export System (AES) or through AESDirect for all used self-propelled vehicles 72 hours prior to export regardless of destination, value or condition.

These regulations apply to all used-self-propelled vehicles.

The VIN / Serial No. & Model No. presented in the documentation must be EXACTLY as they appear on the vehicle ID plate.

Advisory Notes

Please advise your broker well in advance of exportation if the vehicle has entered the United States under an In-Bond procedure, under a carnet, or as a Temporary Importation Bond.

Customs will determine the authenticity of the documents submitted. If the documents are deemed invalid, the exportation will not be allowed.

And that's it!

Wasn't it simple?
