I have to reveal that I love my work unashamedly. From the day that I started, I have remained enthralled in the process of helping people to be their best.
We all have unlimited potential. This particularly pertinent when we are able, like me, to discover that life-calling that transforms work into pleasure! It just needs the right catalyst to activate its power. In my case, it was a series of excellent coaches that I believe were, over time, guided into my space.
Coaching is a profound intervention. The most crucial attribute of this process was the ability of my coaches to see more in me than I could in myself. And then proceed to direct me into its ultimate actualisation.
I do, however, have one reservation: coaching is an intensely personal thing.
It is nobody's business that you are getting coached. If you are in the coaching process, keep it under wraps until the program is complete. You might find the process much more impactful as others are unable to attribute 'blame' to your coach for the newly emerging you! Instead, you will get all the credit! This is even more relevant if you are learning new tactics to manoeuvre yourself into the executive space, especially if you are reporting to a narcissistic boss!
