On International Women’s Day (March 8), we donated 100% of our global sales to female entrepreneurs within our community.
We already introduced you to Laverne from NVLX Labs, and today we’re highlighting Janine, who runs her own product and fashion photography business. Her services include photography, photography production, set styling, talent casting and location scouting.?
With the International Women’s Day donation, Janine plans to invest in?some of her most-wanted photography and studio equipment to help elevate her business.

What products or services does your business offer?
Product photography and a photography studio for photographers to rent out and use.
How long has your business been operating?
I started my photography business 9 years ago and my studio 4 years ago.
What inspired you to start your business?
I started photography because I absolutely loved taking photos. I love creating something new and unique for each client and creating beauty in the commercial world.?
I started my studio because I was fresh out of college living in an apartment and I needed a place to shoot. I also wanted to create a fun space for other photographers to be able to shoot in. At the time, our community had nothing like it.

What are some notable achievements your business has reached?
Recently, I had the largest photoshoot of my career. I had a full 2-week-long shoot for a beauty company in my area. It was long days, but really rewarding as I got to create some of my best work ever!
Have you faced any specific challenges as a female entrepreneur, and if so, how have you overcome them?
I think the main challenges I face in the photography world are having people not take me seriously. I have to remind myself that my value does not depend on what people think of me, and that I'm able to create great work.
What impact do you hope your business will have on your industry?
I hope I am able to be an inspiration to other female photographers who don’t just want to shoot weddings. I want them to recognize that we can shoot amazing commercial work as well and be an inspiration to do that.
