Cartoon posters?
In the designer's mind, painted posters are well alive. They tell a story in a wooden frame but what if they could actually move on their billboards as animated images? After all, a "cartoon", from the French word carton (cardboard) was a preparatory drawing for a fresco or a tapestry. The "Arcimboldo " poster I have designed for the 2018 Healdsburg Wine Country Half Marathon on Halloween Day would gain in mystery and concealed humour... Boo!
