Carte Blanche
Stephanie Meisner-Maggard, MBA, PCM, CDMP, IOM
Marketing Director at Public Knowledge
At a previous company, we had an intern who grew up mainly in France. She shared with me the phrase "carte blanche." Its literal translation is a blank paper. However, it is a saying in french to refer to complete freedom to act as one wishes. For some reason, when the website went life, this phrase popped into my mind. Now that the firm's website Pubknow.com is available to the public, we have the liberty to act as we wish to become the firm and brand we now want to be.
With freedom comes a variety of choices that we have to make, and I think that is the beauty of laying the foundation for a future of growth. The website will always be a "work in process" because we intend to use it as a tool to support our clients and help them individually thrive. With the website now live, I feel this weight lifted off my shoulders, but at the same time, this inner density of responsibility brewing. I now must champion our firm's vision with this tool and further advance our impact to serve our clients better.
Upon the completion of one project, there is always the beginning of a new chapter. This incredible website project helped put that in perspective and will enrich my outlook on future endeavors. I will say goodbye to this chapter and am looking forward to turning the page. Before I do, though, I have to extend my gratitude to everyone who contributed and made Pubknow.com an exceptional reflection of our firm. Your time, expertise, and direct help molded this platform into a well-crafted website. Plus, it was a great joy working with you and learning so much about our abilities as a group of management consultants and professionals.
