Carriage Global Singapore Arranges Movement of 450 Ton 30 M Long Unit

Carriage Global (s) Pte Ltd?and their USA counterpart delivered five heavy breakbulk shipments for one of the pioneer shipyards in Singapore.

CGS has shipped and handled a 450-ton unit, length 30m, along with several other units ranging from 20m to 25m long, weight 196t to 100t in five project shipments from Jan 2021 till Feb 2022.Our scope was chartering a suitable heavy lift vessel, liaising with the shipper at the port with port authorities to ensure timely berth, but waiting almost seven days at the load port and dealing with detention according to a clause from Shanghai to Singapore.

CGS Singapore also handled land and drone surveys, including applications of CAAS permits, port permissions, and various authorities’ permissions to take drone footage of heavy-lift units. All units were above 4.5m in height, and we were asked to supply boom lift to hook on and off cargo and arrange our own stevedoring to hook off cargo on various sizes of barges alongside heavy lift vessels.
