"Fellow owners, players and fans, we're at a crossroads in our league. Yes, the Broncos may have won on the scoreboard in the Super Bowl, but we will still win that game. You heard me - we will beat the Broncos in last year's Super Bowl. We will press on to the owners meeting in Philadelphia and we will win. Cam Newton has come too far to lose now.
The system was rigged against us from the start, and we won't rest until every point is counted. Every point. And we will convince the super-points to be counted for us as well, because all the polling shows that we crush Tom Brady and the Patriots next year.
Let us wage a moral and political war so that we can cut spending on Peyton Manning interviews and use that money to get Cam some protection on the blind side. The bottom line is this - every Panthers fan who works overs 40 hours a week should have access to Super Bowl champion paraphernalia.
Also, there is far too little discussion in Washington about the collapse of the middle class in this league. Almost no discussion at all about the incredible income inequality amongst franchises and the fact that we're moving toward an oligarch form of the NFC South, where Julio Jones continues to light up our secondary.
And balancing the league budget on the backs of Browns, the Jaguars, the Titans and the Bucs is not only immoral, it is bad economic policy. It is something that must be vigorously opposed. And if the Cowboys and Steelers are too big to fail, then they're too big to exist.
Onto Philadelphia!"
