The "Carolina Comeback" in 5 Charts
Governor McCrory and the North Carolina general assembly have aggressively cut taxes, to the tune of $4.7 billion from 2013-2018.
This historic tax reform and other pro-growth policies have helped North Carolina add more than 300,000 jobs since 2013.
This strong job growth means statewide revenue collections are up, even though taxes have been cut. In fact, we had a $425 million surplus this past fiscal year.
Governor McCrory and the general assembly invested this revenue in the state’s savings account, bringing it to an all-time high...
and also made sizable investments in education, including historic teacher pay raises.
