???? CarMedialab in West Africa

CarMedialab had the honor to be a part of the trip to West Africa of the German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock. Henri Depe Tchatchu (COO) was able to represent the company as part of a selected business delegation in Senegal and C?te d'Ivoire, presenting the charge management system MOBILEcharge. Foreign Minister Baerbock visited the Rapid Bus System (BRT) in Senegal's capital Dakar, where the charging processes of the e-buses are managed by CarMedialab's charge management software.

"Capital, religion, language, map: these are the most common Google search terms that Germans associate with the countries of Senegal and C?te d'Ivoire. But the two democracies on the west coast of Africa have much more to offer," says the German Foreign Office on its website. Film production, universities, colleges, green start-ups, the arts – just to name a few. Fortunately, getting to work in the metropolis is no longer a problem thanks to the 18 kilometer express bus line: instead of long traffic jams, the 120 e-buses not only save a lot of time, but also create over 1,000 new jobs and save a whole 59,000 tons of CO2?per year. "With German know-how and our European Global Gateway Initiative, we are helping Senegal drive forward its green transformation and benefit local people in their everyday lives," said Annalena Baerbock in a press release.

Fully electric bus line in Barcelona with ultra-fast chargers

Exciting news for public transport in Barcelona!

The third line of Transporte Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB) will be completely converted to electric buses by the end of the year. There are currently 11 electric buses on the H12 line and by the end of 2024 there will be 21 electric buses. Thanks to the ultra-fast chargers in Besós/Verneda and Avenida Gran Via, the e-buses can be almost fully charged in just 5 minutes. For this purpose, the vehicles are equipped with an extendable arm that connects to the five-meter-high charging points. Laia Bonet, president of TMB, has announced that TMB will end the year with a total of 242 zero-emission buses. The Mayor of L'Hospitalet sees this as an important step towards a more sustainable future.
