If Carlsberg did Utility Location Training!

We had a Sygma team meeting today, for us delivering consistent top quality training in utility location is our priority.

Looking back on today’s meeting I don’t think I have ever been so proud, 8 people dedicated to delivering to the absolute best of their ability and a passion to share knowledge in utility location and strike reduction.

Our team is the BEST in the business.

I have said this many times, this isn’t your ordinary “CAT & Genny course” this is about changing behaviours, changing habits and changing the mindset of operatives using this kit.

We focus on:

·     Myth Busting! Why using a CAT without a Genny is just NOT GOOD ENOUGH? 

·     Giving the science behind it

·     Its Cable Location NOT AVOIDANCE!

·     NOT just about using the kit but how to apply it to a real site!

·     Zig Zag Scans..  Seriously? Out dated and ineffective ! 

Typically “cable avoidance training” consist of operatives being trained to use Power & Radio first. If they don’t find what they need to find they are then instructed to use the Genny.

This is absolute nonsense….. 

It is the equivalent to me entering a dark pitch-black room to look for something, then after 5 minutes of searching, realising I can’t find it so turning the light on.

Wouldn’t it be better to simply turn the light on when I first entered the room?

With Utility Location we teach delegates to use the Genny FIRST! Actively locate services, exhaust connection, clamp, induction before we attempt a power & radio scan.

Through proper training, delivered by experienced and passionate individuals we can change behaviours and instil in others the passion we have about utility location rather than utility avoidance.
