Caring for the Peelle community
The health and wellness of our customers, employees and the communities they live in, are our top priority. With the constant stream of information and evolution of local, state and federal mandates surrounding coronavirus (COVID-19), we know you might have questions. We want to share the actions we are taking to help protect our customers as well as our employees.
What We are Doing
Continuing operation. Although we have temporarily suspended sales travel, there will always be a need to connect with a live customer care or sales staff member to help you secure the products you need. To ensure we do our part to halt the spread of COVID-19, we are abiding by the federal government’s recommendation of social distancing while still keeping staff available Monday-Friday, 8am - 5pm EST. Additionally, our remote sales staff and field installation department are available by cell phone and/or email.
Some of the steps we have taken:
· Maintained prices on all products
· Proactively communicating with customers to notify them of ship dates, approval drawing status, and product pricing
· Asked remote employees to work from home
· Temporary suspended face-to-face customer and supplier visits
· Asked employees who have traveled by airline or crossed borders to self-quarantine for 14 days and monitor for symptoms
· Asked any employee who is not feeling well to stay home. Peelle offers sick leave pay to all office staff and in accordance with our Union Contracts
· Provided Covid-19 policies to all our office, factory, and field installation staff, including our Local 1 and Local 580 installation crews
· Deep cleaning all office spaces on a regular basis
· Discouraged meetings with over six participants and staggering lunch breaks to limit group gatherings
· Limited access to the facility by non-Peelle staff to the degree possible
At this time, we are not experiencing any delays in order, approval, or manufacturing processes and will inform you if anything changes. We continue to closely monitor these fast changing events to protect the health and well-being of our staff and customers alike.
What You can Do
Practice good hygiene. Wash your hands frequently. Cover your nose and mouth when you have to cough and sneeze. And use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol content. Please stay home if you are sick.
If you think you have the virus. Call your primary doctor; do not go to the emergency room where there is potential you can infect others. Also be mindful of being in public where there is a chance you could spread the virus.
Be informed. The CDC and the WHO (World Health Organization) are constantly updating their websites with the latest information.
