CAREFUL WHO YOU TRUST

A story is told about a monkey and a snake who wanted to cross a busy road. Recognizing its own limitations, the snake proposed an agreement with the monkey. The snake asked the monkey to carry it on its back across the road since the monkey was faster. The monkey, aware of the snake's nature, was hesitant but eventually agreed. Once they reached the other side, the snake bit the monkey. As the monkey lay dying, it asked the snake why it had broken their agreement. The snake replied, "Even though I would like to do something right, it’s in my nature to bite."
Moral of the story:
"The greatest way to live with honour in this world is to be what we pretend to be." — Socrates
