Be careful little Eyes
As the 10 & 12 result are about to be declared. The students are asked with one important Question What next? Understandably this is the 4-G Generation and thing are well planned & articulated, also the students are well aware about where their heart belongs and how they can reach to their vocation.
Being a part of the education industry, I think we need to make students aware about what things they need to be very careful of.
Our generation has seen the commercialization of Education, gone are those days when Teacher/parents/Elders use to direct us in our future course. Students are concerned about R.O.I on any educational program more so if they have taken an educational loan.
Few suggestions, which can be useful for the students, opting for various course across various colleges.
- Stay away From Heard mentality (remember the T.V Commercial of shiksha web portal) what can by fit for Rohan cannot be fit for Sohan.
- Do not rely on the online image of any College(it’s been observed that best colleges have a sloppy web image)
- Visit the campus, interact with the faculty(good college is where faculties stick around for a longer time)
- Don’t get attracted by big promises of placements, majority of the data which is presented to you is not realistic.
- See for the value addition in coming 3-4 years of college.
- Look out for the scholarship which can be available from Central/State/College/Various NGO etc.
- Loan can be a good option by which you can ease the financial burden on your parents.
- Ensure there is a good balance of enjoyment & learning in the college.
- Be regular to the college as every minute in the college have been funded from you/your parent’s hard earned money.
- Try to be participative in all the activities of the College; it will give you good exposure & confidence.
