No one can deny the fast expansion of AI, or Artificial Intelligence, has been remarkable in recent years, transforming industries and reshaping how we interact with technology. AI technologies, including machine learning, natural language processing, and computer vision, are being integrated into various applications and systems, from virtual assistants such as Siri, Alexa and chatbots to autonomous vehicles and healthcare diagnostics. This expansion is fueled by advancements in data collection, processing power, and algorithms, enabling AI systems to analyze vast amounts of data, make complex decisions, and perform tasks with increasing accuracy and efficiency. It has enabled automation of repetitive tasks, improved decision-making through data analysis, and even enhanced creativity in areas like art and music. As AI continues to evolve, its impact on society, business, and daily life is expected to grow, ushering in a new era of innovation and possibilities.
Our focus today is on the effect of AI on workforce, with this rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has sparked discussions and debates about its potential to reshape the workforce landscape. As AI technologies become more sophisticated, there is a growing concern about whether AI will take over certain jobs and what the main jobs to be affected are. This article delves into this topic, exploring the potential impact of AI on jobs and identifying the main areas of disruption and emerging opportunities. One of the primary ways AI is expected to impact the workforce is through automation. Tasks that are routine, repetitive, and rule-based are particularly susceptible to automation by AI-powered systems. To look into the jobs that ensure the security of information as it will become increasingly crucial, especially as AI systems manage sensitive data. This underscores the need for experts well-versed in data privacy, cybersecurity, and risk management to meet the growing demand.

With a total workforce of approximately 628 million in OECD countries, their analysis suggested around 200 million jobs could be lost to AI and automation, but no specific time frame was provided. Additionally, the World Economic Forum (WEF) conducted surveys in 2016 and 2018, predicting the displacement of 75 million jobs by automation by 2022, with 133 million new roles emerging.
