Hello everyone, let me introduce myself, I’m Diki Fahrizal alumnus of Bangkit Academy 2023 Batch 2. Here I will tell you a little about my life journey after participating in Bangkit Academy activities which are very, very profitable for the young millennial generation.
After participating in the Bangkit Academy program on the Machine Learning learning path, my journey in the world of technology has experienced a significant transformation, especially my career in the research field. This intensive program not only improves technical knowledge in machine learning, but also the soft skills that a person must have to become a professional. Before joining this program, my knowledge of machine learning was limited to basic theory which was self-taught. However, Bangkit Academy gave me the opportunity to dive straight into real projects that present challenges and the need for innovative solutions.
During the Bangkit academy program, I learned a lot and developed a machine learning model for the "ChillGo App" application, which aims to improve the user experience in exploring tourist destinations in West Java Province. This task involves using advanced technologies like Python, TensorFlow, Keras, and cloud services like GCP platform to manage large datasets and model training. Collaboration in cross-functional teams provides valuable insight into the importance of communication and project management in technology development. The success of this application shows the effectiveness and great potential of the machine learning knowledge I gained through Bangkit Academy. These skills not only strengthen my position as a competent technology specialist but also open the door to new opportunities to contribute to innovative and socially impactful projects.
This program is also very helpful in developing soft skills, such as communication, teamwork and problem solving, all of which are crucial for a career in an era of ever-evolving technology. Now, with new skills and strengthened confidence, I am ready to take on challenges in the world of technology and make a bigger impact by using artificial intelligence to solve real problems in society.
Apart from that, after the Bangkit Academy program activities, I also had interesting activities that could broaden my insight, skills and experience, namely as follows.
TensorFlow Developer Certification : Obtaining the TensorFlow Developer Certification has confirmed my proficiency with TensorFlow, a prominent open-source machine learning framework, thereby boosting my credibility within the technology sector.

Final Thesis Completion: After attending Bangkit Academy, I had the courage to take a final assignment topic related to machine learning and deep learning. The related topic compares several algorithms selected to carry out the task of detecting defective objects, then the best algorithm is developed through the Graphical User Interface application for the task of detecting defective objects on a circuit board. Of course, thanks to joining Bangkit Academy, this opened up a path of innovation for me to be able to complete this undergraduate study.
Collaboration Research: Apart from that, it was useful in completing my final assignment after joining Bangkit Academy. It opened up avenues of innovation for me to collaborate on research with Professors and Associate Professors at the Indonesian University of Education. For example, carrying out further research from the project that I created during the Bangkit Program so that it could be useful and useful for other people, therefore the results of the research I conducted have been published in the national journal indexed SINTA 3, for friends who are curious, you can see the following website page https://ejournal.uin-suska.ac.id/index.php/IJAIDM/article/view/28713. Apart from that, there is also research that has been carried out, namely to improve GHI prediction in one of the major cities of Indonesia, where existing models struggle with the area's natural climate unpredictability. Our analysis harnesses a decade of data 2011 – 2020, including GHI, temperature, and the Sky Insolation Clearness Index, to calibrate and compare these methodologies. We evaluate and contrast the Exponential Smoothing method versus the more complicated Artificial Neural Network (ANN). The results of this research have been accepted in the International Journal indexed by Scopus with Quartile 2 (Q2).
