Breaking News: GCP Releases Gemini Its Answer to OpenAI

This just came out this Wednesday afternoon so I am including it. Per official Google reports, it has just unveiled Gemini , its AI answer to OpenAI (which has a Microsoft partnership). Here’s the official presser.

What is interesting is Google saying that it has been an AI first company for 8 years. Also here is the direct DeepMind link to see Gemini . Gemini will debut December 13, 2023.

Hospitals, Universities and Fortune 500 Firms Form AI Alliance

This came directly from LinkedIn . The social media platform reported that several hospitals, research I universities and Fortune 500 companies around the world have formed the AI Alliance . This Alliance is about responsible AI (artificial intelligence).

This is a very big deal because the AI Alliance is attempting to add guardrails towards AI. We’ve seen the good and bad (deep fakes) of AI. I want to bring this to your attention because these organizations are starting to creating form towards AI governance and you need to know about it. Visit the site here .

GCP Has 12 Days of No-Cost Generative AI Training

Google Cloud is having 12 days of no-cost generative AI training . From now through December 12, 2023, GCP is hosting some type of free training. Remember, GCP is the #3 public cloud provider. A lot of companies are using GCP so check this out .

Microsoft Has Created DP-600 Fabric Analytics Associate Beta

The DP-600 Microsoft Fabric Analytics Associate beta exam will debut in January 2024 . No word about the 80% off beta discounted code yet.

PMI Has PMBOK 8th Edition Volunteer Spots

If you’re a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification holder of over 5 years of more, the Project Management Institute (PMI) is now accepting volunteer applications for its upcoming Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) 8th edition . The 7th edition is the current one. The time period is over 1 year but this is due to rigorous review. The PMBOK affects so many PMI exams beyond PMP.
