It is official. Career Trajectory is at 125 Issues! I am very happy that each and every single one of you have subscribed to Career Trajectory. Here’s What’s Changed Since March 2022

There was no ChatGPT yet, but I knew how big AI was going to get. You can read the archives and know that. Career Trajectory remains committed towards being ahead of the curve in IT, cloud computing and project management.

Information Technology

- ChatGPT

ChatGPT debuted November 30, 2022; and, nothing was ever the same. No one heard of generative AI. Now everyone uses it. You can create photos, videos, audios through a few prompts. Expect even more AI products and services to come.

?People talk about the Internet of Things (IoT) and how everything will be touched and integrated with the Internet. I will say that we are approaching AI of Things where AI and vectors will touch every single product and service.?

Cloud Computing

- Multicloud

In 2022 multi-cloud (using more than one cloud at the same time) started emerging. In the early days companies only talked about dedicated (read: one) cloud provider to handle all company's needs. That was before acquiring businesses and new customers with different clouds. Now you will see companies using both AWS and Azure, GCP and OCI. One cloud doesn't fit all.

?Oracle Cloud now has Database@AWS, Database@Azure and Database@GCP letting Oracle database workloads work on the top 3 clouds. This was inconceivable 2 years ago. But, now we are here.

?Project Management

?- Scaled agile.

We knew about predictive (traditional) and agile. But very few people knew about scaled agile. There are 4 levels to scaled agile: team (traditional scrum), solution, portfolio and enterprise. With many more megaprojects (1 million or more customers and/or $1 billion USD cost), project managers need a new framework to complete these projects.

?Enter Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) to address this?. Traditional and agile project management methodologies won't disappear; however, scaled agile will be normalized.?
