My New Position at Swarovski:?Client Service Expert

Number of years at Swarovski:?Four years and six months

Country of residence:?South Korea

What did you do in your old position at Swarovski?

I joined the Planning & Merchandising team in 2015 where I was responsible for managing orders for our Independent Retail (IR) Duty free channel and following-up on delivery, maintaining retail systems and assisting with month-end closing for Swarovski Retail (SR).

In 2018 I joined the Demand Planning team as an Allocator. My focus was ensuring that products were in the right place and at the right time, to maintain healthy inventory levels in our stores. That included weekly replenishment, stock rebalancing and initial allocation across all product categories.

What are you doing in your current position at Swarovski?

My current position is similar to what I did before. I manage orders for Corporate Gifts, build trust with our partners and communicate delivery. In addition, as a key user of retail systems, I follow up on any system issues, train store staff or implement new tools to improve store operations. I’m also in charge of creating promotional deals for seasonal sales or internal promotions.

How did this career move within Swarovski happen?

In 2019, I had the opportunity to advance in my career as a merchandiser at Tiffany & Co. Korea, where I was responsible for assortment and floor planning, sales and model stock analysis as well as rebalancing for the Fashion and Diamond Jewelry collections. It was a truly fruitful period for both my professional and personal development.?

I left Tiffany after two and a half years and took a few months break. After I felt fully recharged, my previous Swarovski colleague and manager presented me the opportunity to return, which I accepted without hesitation because I only had fond memories of my time and the wonderful people at Swarovski.

What does career mean to you?

Career drives me to be open to new opportunities and experiences, as well as to learn and grow. Even if things occasionally take an unexpected turn or I encounter an obstacle, I see it as an opportunity to learn and gain more professional experience.

I also believe that maintaining good relationships is one of the key drivers to career success. People I met at work have inspired and encouraged me. That is why in returned, I want to be that person who inspires others - and be the kind of person people would love to work with.

The?Career Talk series showcase people who have lived our Swarovski career philosophy by taking on a new opportunity?to develop through one of the six?Swarovski Career Moves.
