Tell us about yourself and what inspired your career at Levande??

What truly inspired my career at Levande is the clear vision and commitment from our owners, EQT, to grow the business substantially over the next four to five years. This ambitious goal aligns perfectly with my passion for taking on challenging projects and seeing them through to successful completion.?

Levande’s active project pipeline is particularly exciting, with projects set to proceed into construction, allowing me to directly see the impact of our efforts. Moreover, the level of expertise within Levande is remarkable, creating a dynamic and knowledgeable team. This collective expertise enhances our ability to deliver high-quality projects and fosters a collaborative and innovative work culture.?

Can you share your experience as an RDM??

My experience as a Regional Development Manager (RDM) has been very positive, even though I’m still new to the role. It’s been exciting to have the opportunity for career progression.?

The business and Executive Leadership team have been very supportive, and as part of the transition, they have provided leadership coaching to be successful in the role. This support has been invaluable.?

My immediate team and other teams in the business have also been incredibly supportive and encouraging. Their help has made a big difference in my experience.?

Overall, the opportunities for growth, the coaching, and the supportive team environment have made my time as an RDM very rewarding?

What advice would you give someone considering a development management career and what are the benefits of the role??

If you’re considering a career in development management, my advice is to embrace the dynamic and multifaceted nature of the role. Every day is different, offering new challenges and opportunities. This keeps the work engaging and ensures that you’re always learning and growing.?

One of the key benefits of a development management career is the impact you make. From the initial design concept to obtaining authority approvals and finally delivering projects, you’re involved in creating developments that will shape the urban fabric for decades, if not centuries. This long-lasting impact is incredibly rewarding.?

Based on my background in construction, where you often only touch part of the development lifecycle, moving into development management allows you to see and influence the entire journey. You get to oversee and contribute to each phase, from conception to completion, which provides a comprehensive understanding and a greater sense of accomplishment.?

For new customers, we learn about their preferences and needs through market research and direct engagement. This helps us tailor our services to meet their expectations.?

For existing residents, we build trust and respect through open communication and collaboration. By listening to their concerns and involving them in decision-making, we create a community where residents feel valued and well cared for.?

How do you balance work with personal interests? How does Levande and the team support your goals??

?Balancing work with personal interests is about effective time management and have flexibility with life outside of work. My kids are young and the positive is my manager allows me to have flexibility to attend some of their activities through the week.?

Levande and the team support my goals by promoting a work-life balance with flexible work options but encourages team engagement through office based work. Additionally, they offer professional development opportunities, helping me grow in my career while maintaining my personal interests. The supportive and collaborative culture at Levande makes it easier to achieve a healthy balance?
