Career Spotlight: Liam Boyle

Meet the brilliant Liam Boyle , a NOW Social Media Executive since November 2019. With boundless energy and creativity, Liam leads Entertainment & Cinema campaigns while also serving as the Communities Lead for the LGBTQ+ at Sky Network. He took a moment with us to reflect on his career at NOW, what's in store for this #pridemonth and, of course, his favourite NOW content:

Can you tell us more about your role at NOW?

I’ve worked for Sky for over 7 years now, previously in the world of Customer Experience and Compliance. I’m now in the Social Media team at NOW, leading Entertainment & Cinema campaigns on Meta, Twitter, TikTok and Reddit. I also support our exciting Influencer activity, and alongside my day job, I’m proud to be the Communities Lead for our #LGBTQ+ at Sky employee network.??

What’s your career highlight so far??

Working for NOW and Sky has given me so many highlights. Whether it’s opening the London Stock Exchange with the legendary Brian Cox to mark the launch of Succession, working the red carpet at glitzy premieres, to partying with RuPaul’s Drag Race queens at our annual Pride Parties, there’s been far too many to choose from.??

What's the best thing about your role??

I love the autonomy I’m given to do work that matters to me and knowing I’ll always be backed in the decisions I make. Social trends can change in a heartbeat, so it’s important that I’m trusted to go with my gut instinct on what will land in the moment.???

Who inspires you???

I work with so many inspiring people in both of my roles, but I have to give a special mention to the members of the LGBTQ+ at Sky Network, including Katie Heppell , Adelle Barker and Carly Orchard . They are constantly driving change, championing equality and showing up on behalf of our community to make things better for our queer colleagues.??

What are you most excited about coming up at NOW???

#Pride season! I’ve been working on Pride activities since the start of the year, and I’m so excited to see them all come to fruition. From spotlighting queer icons with educational posters around the office to celebrating at our Afternoon Tea, Drag Bingo and Pride Party, there’s so much going on this month. I’m also very excited for our Pride campaign going live on socials and to share the amazing work our talented queer influencers have created, as I’m super proud of it all.??

What’s your favourite Show, Movie or Doc on NOW?

As much as I adored the savagery of #Succession, my heart will always be with The White Lotus!
