Career Spark launches a new program to help students make the best career decisions

Education and career counselling startup, Career Spark has taken the next formative leap towards stepping up its efforts to help young minds make the best career moves. It has launched a new initiative, Career Club, wherein they reach out to the students (Standard 9 – 12) in various educational institutions and work with them closely to help them choose a career based on their aptitudes. Founder Dinesh Lahoti has recently conducted an orientation session for the 10th and 12th standard students from St. Francis De Sales School in Guwahati, followed by a workshop on mastering the science of learning.

After an initial orientation session, the students are put to a psychometric test wherein they’re asked to fill up a Career Discovery Assessment form that has been designed by a renowned professor from the Delhi University. Based on the assessment, every student is provided a report that gauges their career-specific personality traits, interests, aptitudes, and emotional quotient, along with 5 top career suggestions best aligned to their traits. In the next step, students are approached for one-to-one sessions to help the students create a methodical pathway for pursuing a suitable career. Besides, the program also makes ample room for parents’ orientation to enable them to guide their children in making informed decisions rather than falling prey to the flashy gimmicks. Apart from the dedicated mentoring and structured webinar sessions, this year-long program also offers the students opportunities to do internships in their preferred industries.

Apart from Career Club, the startup is also launching an entrance wing. Spark Academy has coaching modules meticulously designed to systematically train the undergrad students preparing for various entrant examinations for which no structured coaching is available in the region in particular, and the country in general.
