This week, I am excited to provide further information regarding our pathway options for your child after high school graduation! Some industries include, but are not limited to: STEMS, Health and Science, Business/Marketing, Visual & Fine Arts, Communications, Social Sciences/Humanities, Etc. For this week’s blog, we will be discussing the various career paths stemming from the Health and Science industries.
If you or someone you know is considering the Health Science path after high school, we have some good news! According to usnews.com in July of 2023, “Jobs in this field are expected to increase 13% by 2031, more than twice the average job growth rate across all employment sectors, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.” Aside from knowing this job market will likely be in demand for years to come, how do you know if Health Science is the right fit?
Is your student someone who particularly enjoys chemistry, physics, and biology? If they enjoy natural sciences, odds are they will enjoy health sciences. If they decide to major in this during their collegiate studies, they should consider their academic strengths. It slightly varies from university to university, yet each has a health science education path. Before committing to this 4-year degree, they should see if this is something they are willing to be challenged by. Are they willing to dedicate the time and effort needed to succeed in this area of academics? Health Sciences is easier to understand by those who have some natural math and science skills.
