Assistant Sustainable Design Advisor

The Land Development Agency strives to be at the forefront of changing Ireland’s housing options for the better. The Agency will do this by providing sustainable and innovative infill developments, as well as working with local authorities and other partners to design and plan for large-scale strategic areas. It will do so in a manner that fully supports Ireland’s compact growth and climate change agenda.

The Assistant Sustainable Design Advisor position is within the Strategic Planning Business Unit. The successful candidate will report to and support the Urban Design & Sustainability Manager in implementing the LDA’s strategic objectives, as defined in the LDA’s Sustainable Development Strategy, in master-planning projects and development projects and support the development of policy, procedure & guidance notes as required.

This role will have a primary focus on workstream 2 within the Strategy – project support. However, the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to all aspects of the Sustainability Teams work.

GIS Officer

  • You will join the Strategic Planning Team working with a range of development professionals across the Agency on a wide variety of projects with a focus on mapping, data analysis and supporting the progression of Register of Relevant Public Lands.
  • The role will involve liaising with other internal and external stakeholders in delivering geospatial applications, products and services; collating and managing data; and extending the use of GIS and supporting evidence based decision making.
  • Working collaboratively with key data partners, including other state bodies and agencies, government departments and local authorities.
  • The integration of mapping components into existing reporting and web applications.
  • Cartography and map representation, charts and data for presentations for various teams across the agency.
  • Testing, debugging and performance tuning of GIS applications and accounts.
  • Documentation writing and procedure development for GIS projects.

Tax Manager

The Tax Manager is a key role in the LDA Finance Function reporting directly to the CFO. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that tax compliance and tax strategy are embedded in the LDA. A key liaison with all business units on tax matters across all tax heads in the LDA with the assistance of external tax advisors.

Summary:?

  • Supervise corporate income tax return compliance.
  • Ensure timely completion and filing of all tax returns.
  • Assist Senior Management with global mobility-related issues.
  • Aid Senior Management in addressing internal and external tax inquiries and audits.
  • Assist in preparing local and master transfer pricing files.
  • Stay updated on changes in local tax legislation.
  • Conduct ad-hoc research on emerging tax issues.
  • Organise Training for LDA staff on Tax
  • Co-ordinate transaction advice and liaise with external tax advisor
  • Contribute to the tax strategy and corporate goals of the LDA
  • Build out tax control framework
  • Create and keep up to date Policies, Procedures and Process across all tax heads

Tax Analyst

Reporting to the Tax Manager, the Tax Analyst will be a key support for our Finance department providing advice on various tax heads across different departments in the LDA. This position is focused on compliance and process type tasks, with a smaller element of the role focused on consultancy/advisory type tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation, completion and filing of indirect and direct tax returns.
  • Provide input/suggestions on process/system efficiencies that might be adopted to improve the processes.
  • Assist in ensuring adherence to tax governance frameworks and policies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes and implement efficiencies.
  • Responsible for continuous improvement in the efficiency of data gathering.
  • Liaise with external advisors to ensure compliance with local tax legislation.
  • Provide tax advisory support to various business units within the company.
  • Perform tax research and assist in analyze technical tax issues.
  • Assist in delivering tax training to the wider firm.
  • Assist with responding to tax enquiries from Tax Authorities.

The LDA is currently advancing work on more than 20 State lands sites, with the capacity to deliver more than 5,000 homes.
