Career: Elevation of your passion into your profession

Generally, in this present world, accepting what you love doing- your kind of person- is critical to the progress you are bound to make in any environment you find yourself, as it is true to the idea that people are drawn towards the world of a particular profession because of what they love doing - or their kind of person.

In a study of Complete Personality Test (CPT) of 487 students by researchers from Aarhus University in Denmark ,aimed to measure the so-called ‘dark triad’ of personality traits – narcissism, Machiavellianism and psychopathy; the co-author , Dr Anna Vedel, deduced from the research that some people seem to find some profession as offering them more opportunities than other professions because of the kind of personalities they possess. The basis of the deduce is that; it was found that some people look at the personality they have and compare it with the personalities they associate with specific academic disciplines or career before they make a decision on their profession.

Illustratively, if some people have a passion for writing or singing, they look for a role model in that line and observe or judge such persons's personality or passion. They then compare theirs with the ones they associate with such role model. The derivation of their comparison goes into the determination of their conclusion or resolution on whether they should make progression on the elevation or transformation of their passion into their profession.

This makes more sense considering that; skills can be learned either through education or experience but one thing that can’t be learned, however, is passion . That's why people are increasingly having the wisdom to know and accept the difference between the things they cannot change and the ones they can change. They are increasingly having the serenity to accept the things they cannot change and further translating it into their choice of profession. The things people cannot change about themselves, makes them who they are personality/passion wise.
