?? Episode Summary: Notified Body Career - How I Found My Dream Job and Never Looked Back

Suzie’s career journey is highly impressive. Hailing from Canada, she has travelled from the USA (????) ?? to Germany (????) ?? to Japan (????), and many more!?Such travels allowed her to form a deep appreciation of other cultures, which now helps her to communicate with others very effectively.

She started working at BSI at the age of 18; starting as a scheme manager and technical specialist. Within the orthopaedic team, new EU regulations came into force - forcing Suzie to play a vital role in expanding her team from two members to a large group of 25.?

Suzie has been a champion of inclusivity, always asking thought-provoking questions, challenging norms, and encouraging innovation. She continuously seeks answers, even while feeling like the least knowledgeable person in the room.

Maintaining a work-life balance is also crucial to Suzie. She personally prefers open-water swimming (even in the middle of winter! ??)?

In our last episode, we spoke to Tom Melvin, a former junior doctor who made a career change towards the Health Products Regulatory Authority (HPRA) and contributed to the future of regulations within the MedTech industry.?

Melvin has a background in both law and medicine, making him an ideal candidate for the Competent Authority (despite an awkward ?? interview!). Before he knew it, his new role gave him a sense of fulfilment as he worked on cases that shed light on flaws within medical devices and patient safety

He also discussed…much, much more!?
