Greetings,

The purpose of this article is to share some tips to help the students having hurdles with career selection. There are multiple students who got the degree but didn't have an idea to choose the related path or job.

Following are some reasons behind this phenomenon:

1. personal financial growth
2. lack of guidelines
3. attraction towards renowned companies
4. little knowledge of different fields/concepts/domains
5. lack of self-confidence
6. passionate towards technology/field without considerable knowledge
7. Not giving consideration to your passion and interest

Better Approach:

The most important thing to consider in the start of career is the expanded set of preferences like web development, mobile development etc.

Let me explain that with a scenario:

Note: This does not target anyone. It is a hypothetical scenario.

Scenario:

A person graduated in computer science but is still confused what he has to do in his career. In start, he was passionate about Machine learning but started a job in UI/UX design. He left the job after one year. Then, he started a job in backend web development with core php but left it in 3 months. Then started as python developer in machine learning. Although he was passionate about Machine learning, he didn't have considerable knowledge of ML and got kicked out of that job after few months. Finally, after switching multiple jobs within 3.5 years, he defined his set of goals about job along with technologies that promised better future. Then he made a decision that he should find a job as an IOS developer and started to develop that skill. After gaining some skill in IOS development, he started trying to find the job. He got the IOS development job within 25 days and decided to focus his career in IOS development and not get distracted by different technologies.

Conclusion:

Each student should make a decision with interests, skills, education, and current technologies or fields. Then try to find the job which he/she want to do.

In worst case (not getting desired job) they should make other decision. The worst case occurs most of the time then we should not Dis hurt. So, think about current technologies with better growth and find the related skill that we have and start with new cv or resume then apply.

So, using some tips and keeping the scenario in mind we can have better future.
